We handle credentialing, scheduling, and admin. You handle clinical.

Lucentra Care is a small, founder-led ABA practice in Columbia, MD. We're hiring a Maryland-licensed BCBA to supervise 1–3 home-based pediatric cases, 10–15 hours per week. This role is designed for a BCBA who already has a primary position and wants well-organized supplemental work — without director responsibilities, caseload pressure, or admin overhead.

Why this role is different

  • We're already credentialed with Maryland Medicaid (Carelon) and major commercial payers. We can add you to rosters in 1–3 weeks, not 5–7 months.
  • Clinical leadership is in-house (active Maryland LBA, BCBA) and handles intake, family communication, and treatment-plan oversight. You're not the clinician of record for the practice — you're the supervisor of record for your assigned cases.
  • Initial caseload capped at 1–3 clients. We will not overload you. Hours grow only if you want them to.
  • No director, committee, or compliance work. No corporate layers. No PE timelines.

What you'd do

In-person (client homes in central Maryland (Howard, Anne Arundel, Baltimore County, Montgomery, and Prince George's counties, plus Baltimore City):

  • RBT supervision visits per payer requirements
  • Initial assessments or assessment support (97151)

Remote / telehealth:

  • Review and cosign session notes and supervision logs
  • Telehealth supervision meetings with RBTs
  • Parent training (97156)
  • Treatment plan development and protocol modification (97155)
  • Brief weekly check-in with clinical leadership

What we handle so you don't have to

  • Payer credentialing — already complete for Medicaid and commercial
  • Scheduling coordination between families and RBTs
  • RBT hiring and onboarding
  • Documentation infrastructure, intake forms, HIPAA program, compliance policies
  • Billing and collections

Required

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Active Maryland LBA
  • Located in MD, DC, or Northern VA with reliable transportation for in-person Maryland visits
  • Minimum 1 year ABA clinical experience, including RBT supervision
  • Solid documentation practices and comfort with telehealth platforms

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Maryland Medicaid and commercial insurance billing requirements
  • Bilingual Spanish

Compensation and structure

  • $92–$105 per hour based on experience
  • Independent contractor (1099), bi-weekly invoicing
  • Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
  • CE reimbursement support
  • Flexible schedule built around your existing commitments

About Lucentra Care

Lucentra Care, LLC is a Maryland ABA provider based in Howard County, delivering home-based, evidence-based services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We're a deliberately small, founder-led practice — clinical leadership is in-house (BCBA/LBA), and operations are built by a founder with a healthcare and regulatory background. We're building slowly and carefully, with the goal of being a place clinicians actually want to stay. Your input on protocols and clinical standards matters here in a way it usually doesn't at larger providers.
