Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Substance Abuse Counselors to provide therapeutic support and guidance to clients at our facility. Counselors play a critical role in facilitating recovery by leading individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and ensuring clients receive the emotional and psychological support they need.

This is a full-time, onsite position with Tuesday- Saturday, 8:30AM-4:30PM work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and coping strategies
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support as needed
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups on topics such as addiction, mental health, and life skills
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Work closely with medical and case management teams to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate clients and their families on the recovery process and available community resources
• Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while fostering a safe and supportive treatment environment

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required
• Certification or licensure (LPC,LSW, LMHC, LPCC,LICSW, or equivalent) in Ohio is required.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health settings is required
• Strong knowledge of addiction treatment models, counseling techniques, and relapse prevention strategies
• Ability to facilitate both individual and group counseling effectively
• Excellent communication, organizational, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work the assigned schedule Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
