Part-Time Clinical Therapist | Trailhead Counseling Center | Bozeman, MT Ideal for a master's-level clinician pursuing dual licensure as both a mental health and addiction counselor

About Trailhead Trailhead Counseling Center is an attachment-based, relational Intensive Outpatient Program with locations in the Flathead Valley and Bozeman. We believe healing happens in relationship. Our small-group model is intentional, warm, and clinically rigorous. We work with a motivated client, willing to do the deeper work, and we invest in the people doing it.

The Opportunity This position was built with a specific clinician in mind. We are seeking someone who holds or is working toward both a mental health license (LCPC or LCSW) and an addiction counselor license (LAC), and who wants a role where both tracks of their training are put to real use.

If you're a master's-level clinician who is serious about the intersection of mental health and addiction treatment, this is a rare opportunity to complete your ACLC hours, build your group therapy skills, and do meaningful clinical work.

Schedule

  • Individual therapy & assessments: 10–15 hours per week, flexible daytime hours
  • Group co-facilitation: 6–9 hours per week, Monday/Wednesday/Thursday evenings, 6–9 PM
  • Total: approximately 20 hours per week

Who We're Looking For We are specifically seeking a master's-level clinician who is:

  • Fully licensed or actively pursuing licensure as an LCPC or LCSW, AND
  • Holds an ACLC or is actively working toward LAC licensure

Whether you're a fully licensed LCPC/LCSW completing your ACLC hours, or a master's-level candidate working toward both simultaneously — if dual licensure in mental health and addiction is your goal, we want to talk to you.

Beyond licensure, you bring:

  • Strong individual therapy skills — you're comfortable doing the clinical work
  • Professionalism and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • A genuine interest in addiction and co-occurring populations
  • Some group therapy experience or a clear eagerness to develop that skill

What This Role Offers:

  • All group co-facilitation hours count toward your LAC (ACLC) candidacy requirements
  • Supervision provided toward LAC, LCPC, and/or LCSW licensure
  • Co-facilitation alongside master's-level, experienced clinicians who will actively invest in your group therapy development
  • A well-rounded caseload of individual therapy, assessments, and groups
  • Open to W-2 part-time or 1099 contract
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with licensure and experience

To Apply: Please send a resume and a brief note about your licensure path and clinical background to Justin Gable at justin@trailheadmt.com.
