General Responsibilities:

The Counseling Assessment Specialist is responsible for completing comprehensive diagnostic assessment for children and adults seeking general behavioral health or trauma therapy. Our assessments are completed either in person or via telehealth. Under direct supervision, you will also build a case load of counseling clients based on your interests and expertise. If desired, this position can evolve into a full time counseling position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling or social work
  • Current professional license in the State of Idaho (LPC, LMSW)
  • Successful clearance of Department of Health and Welfare Criminal Background Check
  • Work experience and/or specialized training in the sexual, familial abuse, or domestic violence fields
  • At least 2 years post graduate experience providing direct counseling services
  • Experience providing counseling to children and their parents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid LCSW or LCPC or equivalent license in the state of Idaho
  • EMDR trained
  • At least two years post graduate experience providing direct counseling services to children
  • Experience counseling sexual abuse victims
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
