Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives by implementing individualized care plans and applying principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). As an RBT, you will work closely with a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote positive behavior change, support skill development, and foster independence in a compassionate, energetic environment. Providing ABA Services in a home setting.
Looking for 10-20 hours per week to start.
Bonus requirements: $250 after after 8 weeks of work then additional $250 after after 6 months of working.
Duties
- Implement personalized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA, utilizing evidence-based techniques rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and skill acquisition accurately and consistently to inform ongoing treatment strategies
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks
- Support clients during teaching sessions, helping them develop communication, social, and functional skills through engaging activities
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with team members to develop and modify individualized treatment goals tailored to each client’s needs
- Foster a positive environment that promotes patience, understanding, and motivation for clients working with autism or other developmental disabilities
Experience
- Prior experience working directly with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) is essential
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care procedures enhances effectiveness in this role
- Ability to accurately collect data and maintain detailed medical records using appropriate terminology and documentation standards
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe after hiring
- Experience working within HIPAA guidelines ensures confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information
