Position Overview

Wreh’s Wellness Center (WWC) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and clinically knowledgeable physician to serve as a Collaborating Physician in support of the future expansion of advanced mental health provider services within the organization.

This role will support WWC’s vision of expanding access to comprehensive mental health care through collaboration with future Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and other advanced behavioral health providers.

The Collaborating Physician will provide clinical collaboration, consultation, and oversight in accordance with Pennsylvania state regulations and organizational standards.

WWC focuses on emotional wellness, community collaboration, and increasing access to quality mental health services.

Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Collaboration & Consultation

  • Provide collaborative physician services for advanced mental health providers in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations
  • Be available for clinical consultation regarding patient care, medication management, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Support evidence-based psychiatric and behavioral health practices

Chart Review & Oversight

  • Conduct required chart reviews and documentation oversight as applicable by state law and collaborative agreement
  • Ensure clinical services align with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and patient safety expectations

Support for Integrated Mental Health Care

  • Collaborate with therapists, future PMHNPs, and multidisciplinary providers to support continuity of care
  • Provide guidance regarding complex psychiatric presentations and medication considerations
  • Promote holistic, patient-centered mental health treatment approaches

Organizational Collaboration

  • Participate in periodic meetings regarding clinical operations and program development
  • Support WWC’s future expansion of psychiatric and behavioral health services
  • Assist in strengthening quality assurance and best-practice standards

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry preferred
  • Experience working within behavioral health and/or integrated mental health settings preferred
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care

Preferred Experience

  • Experience collaborating with psychiatric nurse practitioners or advanced practice providers
  • Knowledge of outpatient mental health systems
  • Experience supporting child/adolescent and adult mental health populations

Compensation

Compensation structure to be discussed based on:

Pay: Up to $1,000.00 per month
