2026-2027 Academic Year

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a proactive and insightful School Psychologist to join our student services team in the Palatine area. This position plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between student needs and academic success. You will be a key member of the problem-solving team, focused on data-driven decision-making and fostering a positive school climate for all learners.

Applicants who are not licensed through the ISBE or who will not hold a license by the beginning of the school year will NOT be considered.

Primary Duties:

Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough psycho-educational assessments to identify student strengths and areas for growth, determining eligibility for specialized services.

Data Analysis: Interpret assessment data to help design and monitor the effectiveness of academic and behavioral interventions (MTSS/RTI).

Collaborative Planning: Partner with teachers and related service providers to develop and implement robust IEPs that prioritize student progress.

Behavioral Support: Support the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

Advocacy & Outreach: Act as a resource for parents and guardians, helping them navigate the special education process and access community resources.

Qualifications:

Graduate Degree: Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology.

Illinois Licensure: Current PEL (Professional Educator License) with a School Psychologist endorsement.

Expertise: Strong understanding of Illinois special education laws and the IEP process.

Skills: Exceptional report-writing skills and the ability to present complex data clearly to multidisciplinary teams.

Employment Details:

Location: Palatine, IL (Conveniently located near the NW suburbs).

Schedule: Full-time for the duration of the 2026-2027 school year.
