Residential Aide

Douglas Gardens CMHC is seeking a compassionate, responsible part-time Residential Aide to join our team at Mayfair Residence in beautiful Miami Beach. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, values a supportive environment, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults receiving mental health services.

As a Residential Aide, you will play an essential role in fostering a safe, stable, and welcoming home environment for our residents. You’ll help ensure the residence runs smoothly, respond to needs as they arise, and support residents as they work toward their personal goals.

Part-Time Weekly Schedule:

• Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
• Thursday: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct hourly rounds to ensure safety, comfort, and compliance with house rules, documenting in the logbook.
• Greet and guide visitors, ensuring they understand and follow residence/house guidelines.
• Communicate maintenance needs promptly.
• Respond to resident requests, questions, and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Manage front desk operations, including mail distribution, phone calls, and messages.
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies.
• Relay important resident information to clinical staff to support treatment goals.
• Conduct a monthly activity for the residents. For example, an art class, poetry night, movie night, game night, etc.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work the scheduled shifts listed above.
• Experience working with behavioral health consumers preferred, but not required.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening.
• Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
• A patient, respectful, and team-oriented approach.
