POSITION OVERVIEW

Dragonfly Cares is seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians(RBT) and Behavior Technicians(BT) to join our team in full-time school-based positions. In this role, technicians will provide 1:1 ABA therapy to students on the autism spectrum within a school setting. Team members will work closely with supervising BCBAs and school staff to implement individualized behavior intervention plans, support skill development, and help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally throughout the school day. This position is ideal for compassionate, dependable individuals who are passionate about supporting students and making a meaningful impact in an educational environment. This position offers a pay range of $23-$26/hour based on education, certifications, and experience in the field.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy and behavioral support under BCBA supervision during full school days
  • Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans aligned with each student’s learning goals
  • Collect and record accurate data on behavior and progress
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors
  • Maintain detailed and professional documentation per school and agency standards
  • Participate in supervision and ongoing trainings to strengthen your clinical skills

Requirements

  • Availability for full school-day hours
  • Bachelor’s degree is psychology, special education, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of ABA experience (preferred)
  • Previous school-based or special education experience
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental delays
  • Reliable transportation to different school districts across Nassau & Suffolk counties
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others
