Responsibilities

• Provide peer-led support by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and motivation.
• Conduct crisis intervention and management to de-escalate situations and ensure client safety.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral change and goal setting.
• Assist clients in navigating behavioral health services, including mental health counseling and addiction treatment programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Mentor clients through emotional support, skill development, and community resource connection.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to develop personalized recovery plans that reflect client needs and strengths.

Experience

• Lived experience with mental health challenges or substance use recovery is highly valued.
• Prior experience in crisis intervention or crisis management roles is preferred.
• Background in behavioral health, social work, or related fields enhances effectiveness in this role.
• Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and addiction counseling methods is advantageous.
• Knowledge of EHR systems for documentation purposes is desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
