Part-time-Community Support Specialist / Direct Support Professional (DSP)

$15/hr + Monthly Incentive | Flexible Schedule | Community-Based Work

We provide home and community-based services (HCBS) to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), supporting them as they build life skills, connect socially, and achieve personal goals with dignity and purpose.

We’re seeking compassionate, dependable, and community-minded professionals to join our team as Community Integration Specialists / Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

Position Overview

This role involves providing one-on-one support to multiple clients at different times, focusing on the development of independent living skills, community integration, and personal growth. You’ll help clients engage with their community, attend appointments, participate in recreational and educational activities, and learn essential life skills.

Note: Reliable transportation is required. You must be able to transport clients to activities, appointments, and outings using your personal vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals in community-based activities, volunteer work, recreation, and daily skill development.
• Teach and model independent living skills, including communication, budgeting, and problem-solving.
• Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding) as needed.
• Implement and follow Individualized Support Plans (ISPs).
• Document services, progress, and incidents accurately using our mobile EVV system.
• Encourage independence, inclusion, and positive social engagement.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Collaborate effectively with families, supervisors, and other team members.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPR/First Aid certification & TB test (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to transport clients safely to community activities
• Ability to pass background, abuse registry, and drug screenings
• Availability for flexible weekday and early evening hours
