Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in behavioral health and applied behavior analysis (ABA) while providing essential support to families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to track progress and inform treatment adjustments
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care routines
  • Support clients in educational settings by applying teaching strategies aligned with special education practices
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of medical records and client information
  • Collaborate with team members to develop, update, and execute care plans tailored to each client's needs
  • Foster a positive, engaging environment that promotes behavioral health, behavior management, and skill development

Compensation

  • Credentialed RBTs with experience will be offered $24/hour
  • Applicants without RBT certification must have completed the 40-hour RBT training prior to hire
  • After 6 months, RBTs with full-time availability may choose to move to a salaried role at $45,000 per year, dependent on passing the RBT proficiency checklist
  • Tiered annual raises based on performance

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in behavioral therapy or special education is a plus
  • Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not mandatory; training provided for qualified candidates
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and team members
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to ethical standards related to medical documentation and patient care
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping others grow and succeed
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Time Off & Holidays

Paid Christmas Break

Our clinic closes mid-day December 24 through January 1 each year, and this time off is fully paid.

  • 7 paid public holidays
  • 40 hours of PTO accrued beginning on the date of hire (available to begin using after 6 months)
  • Sick leave: 1 sick day available after 90 days; 3 days annually after the first year
  • 5 days of unpaid time off (UTO) per year to help cover unexpected illnesses or personal situations that fall outside of available sick leave or PTO
  • Birthday benefit: If your birthday falls on a scheduled workday, you may take the day off paid (available after 90 days)
