Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Technician (Admissions), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality psychiatric care to individuals experiencing mental health crises. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting patient admissions, entering patient information into the system, ensuring safety and comfort, working with the admissions nurse and psychiatrists, communicating with referral facilities, and assisting with behavioral health interventions. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment for patients during their critical moments of need. Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient admissions by collecting relevant medical history and verifying documentation
  • Implement behavior management techniques to promote cooperation and reduce agitation
  • Support crisis intervention efforts by responding swiftly and effectively to behavioral emergencies
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive psychiatric care

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in psychiatric care or acute care settings is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and emergency responders
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges in a compassionate manner
  • High School Diploma (required)
