Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate emotional challenges, manage mental health conditions, and improve their overall well-being through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing expressive arts modalities such as art therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, nature based psychotherapy and other expressive arts modalities
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes and manage crisis situations effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, ICD-10 coding (International Classification of Diseases), and CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care coordination, and assessments to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms as needed to deliver remote counseling sessions while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.

Skills

  • Experience in psychotherapy and clinical counseling across diverse populations.
  • Expertise in crisis management, crisis intervention, and PTSD care for trauma survivors.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation.
  • Skilled in group therapy facilitation and social work practices within behavioral health contexts.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles relevant to mental health treatment plans.
