Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, to implement personalized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and self-care skills.
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, including care plans, progress notes, and behavioral data in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions across environments.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions on behavioral health, medical terminology, and behavior management strategies to enhance your professional growth.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Excellent skills in data collection, documentation, and maintaining detailed medical records.
  • Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in developing independence in daily routines.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of client information.
  • Effective teaching and communication skills to engage clients positively and foster learning.
