Description

Located in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, Hamilton Local School District is seeking a school psychologist that is organized, efficient, and self-motivated. We are offering a position that includes a full-time (8 hours per day), 205-day contract for full contract to begin 8/1/2026.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must hold a valid school psychology license and certification from the professional board and the Ohio Department of Education.

Responsibilities And Essential Functions

  • Provides comprehensive evaluations of individual children identified as or suspected of being disabled and interpret results of evaluation to appropriate individuals.
  • Participates as a member of evaluation/placement team and contributes to the written report of that team regarding student's individual strengths and weaknesses.
  • Consults with parents, educational personnel and professionals from outside agencies on matters relating to the education and/or mental health of students.
  • Provides counseling individually and for groups for students and/or their parents as needed.
  • Assists educational staff in implementing or modifying instructional strategies, classroom management procedures, intervention strategies, and follow-­-up activities.
  • May participate in student concerns process with school personnel and parents to develop interventions, plan evaluation, and/or provides consultation for students.
  • Participates in parent/teacher conferences as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate child study files.
  • Attends scheduled school psychology department staff meetings when scheduled.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the field.
  • Adheres to established professional and ethical standards for school psychologists.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.

Salary

Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule
