Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide part-time mental health services within our organization. Group and one on one counseling, prior experience working with substance use disorders is highly sought. PT Flexible scheduling. Ability to move into a more FT role available for those who are interested.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client motivation and facilitate behavioral change.
- Document clinical encounters accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including case management and community resource linkage.
- Collect data for clinical research purposes, supporting quality improvement initiatives and outcome measurement.
- Work with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly populations, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, or disabilities.
- Implement specialized interventions such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) for clients with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and documentation standards for accurate medical records.
- Participate in ongoing training related to psychopharmacology, special education strategies, and crisis management protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as an LCSW or LPC in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, families, individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, and geriatric populations.
- Experience working in hospital settings or home & community care environments preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and ICD coding practices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health conditions such as PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other neurological or psychiatric diagnoses.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques.
- Ability to collect data for clinical research projects and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
