About ITG Academy

ITG Academy is a recovery-focused behavioral health program serving adults with substance use disorders across Maryland. We serve a diverse client population, including individuals with Medicaid, CareFirst, Cigna, and self-pay, as well as working professionals and individuals navigating reentry.

We provide PHP, IOP, OP, and recovery housing in a structured, trauma-informed environment with a consistent and growing census.

About This Role

This is not a low-expectation role—and that’s intentional.

We are hiring a Substance Use Counselor who is reliable, organized, and takes ownership of their work. This position is ideal for someone who wants a structured environment, manageable caseload, and the opportunity to do meaningful clinical work without the chaos of large agencies.

You will provide group and individual counseling within our PHP, IOP and OP programs while maintaining strong documentation and compliance standards.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Rotating Fridays: TBD
  • In-person role (required)

What This Role Requires

  • Facilitate group counseling
  • Maintain a caseload of approximately 15–20 clients
  • Complete documentation within 48 hours
  • Conduct substance use assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations (within scope of credential)
  • Provide individual counseling sessions
  • Develop and update treatment plans
  • Coordinate care with internal team and external partners
  • Complete required reports (probation, court, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Maintain strong organization, follow-through, and accountability
  • $2,000 retention bonus after 6 months (based on performance and reliability)

This role includes both ongoing clinical work and assessment responsibilities within the counselor’s scope of practice.

Qualifications

Must have one of the following (or equivalent in Maryland):

  • ADT
  • CSC-AD
  • CAC-AD
  • LGADC
  • LCADC
  • LMSW
  • LCSW-C

Also required:

  • Experience with individual and group counseling
  • Strong documentation and time management skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Reliable attendance and professionalism

Compensation

  • ADT / CSC-AD / CAC-AD / LMSW: $28–$34/hour
  • LGADC / LCADC / LCSW-C: $34–$40/hour
  • Higher end of range considered for strong group facilitators and experience
