Overview
Seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Registered Behavior Technician to support a client for morning sessions.
This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply behavioral therapy techniques, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to personalized care plans. You will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to foster growth, independence, and positive behavior change in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Duties
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and analyze data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment plans and ensure effective intervention.
- Support teaching sessions tailored to individual needs, incorporating special education principles and behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and behavioral health records, while adhering to HIPPA regulations for confidentiality.
- Foster a positive environment by applying behavioral health principles and promoting respectful interactions with clients.
Experience
- Registered Behavior Technician certification is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience working with children or adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is required.
- Ability to effectively collect data, monitor progress, and adapt interventions based on client responses.
- Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with RBT, family, and BCBA.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols in medical documentation.
