Discovery Point Retreat is a Joint Commission–accredited inpatient addiction treatment center in Ennis, TX, hiring full-time Substance Abuse Counselors / Mental Health Therapists for our Detox (DTX) and Residential (RES) programs. Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based, dual-diagnosis care to adults in early recovery on a peaceful 30-acre ranch-style campus 30 miles south of Dallas.

This role is open to clinicians searching: substance abuse counselor, chemical dependency counselor, addiction counselor, mental health therapist, licensed professional counselor, LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDC, LCDC-I, addiction recovery, dual diagnosis, behavioral health, and social services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead individual, group, and family therapy using CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches
  • Build individualized treatment plans alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team (medical, nursing, case management)
  • Document accurately and on time per Texas state and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards
  • Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare for sustained recovery
  • Engage families and provide psychoeducation
  • Participate in clinical rounds, treatment team meetings, and program development

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We accept any of the following Texas-issued licenses — apply with the one you hold:

  • LCDC-I or LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor / Intern)
  • LMSW or LCSW (Licensed Master's / Clinical Social Worker)
  • LMFT-A or LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LPC-A or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • Ph.D. in Psychology

Other requirements:

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field (Ph.D. accepted)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Available to work onsite in Ennis, with weekend rotation as inpatient coverage requires
  • Substance use, detox, residential, or behavioral health experience preferred (not required)

SCHEDULE

  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday, with weekend rotation as needed for inpatient coverage

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
