Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) to join our mental health and behavioral health team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, conducting assessments, and delivering evidence-based therapies across diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex mental health needs. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on improving patient outcomes through innovative clinical practices and research integration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, and HIPAA-compliant documentation standards.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, PTSD care, Alzheimer's care, autism spectrum disorder support, and special education strategies.
  • Manage case coordination including intake procedures, patient care planning, progress documentation within EMR systems, and medical records management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated behavioral health services in hospital settings or community-based environments.
  • Engage in clinical research activities related to mental health treatments and behavioral health interventions; participate in data collection for ongoing studies.
  • Provide crisis management support for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or developmental challenges.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA standards and ICD coding requirements while ensuring accurate medical documentation.
  • Offer social work services including community resource linkage, case management, and patient advocacy tailored to individual needs.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Experience working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and Alzheimer's care.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and data collection; experience with medical terminology and records management.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9/10 codes; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions such as PTSD, addiction issues, depression, anxiety disorders; experience in psychiatric medication management or psychopharmacology is a plus.
  • Excellent case management skills with a focus on patient assessment and individualized treatment planning.
  • Strong communication skills suitable for working with diverse populations across hospital settings or community care environments.
  • Commitment to ethical standards including HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of medical records. Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
