Are you a Limited Permit MFT passionate about couples work and looking for a supportive, growth-oriented practice to complete your licensure hours? At Fresh Start Marriage and Family Therapy, 95% of our clientele consists of couples, and our mission is to provide therapy that creates deep, meaningful, and lasting change.

As our practice continues to expand, we are excited to welcome Limited Permit Marriage and Family Therapists who are eager to grow clinically, gain strong supervision, and build confidence working with couples and families.

LP-MFT Clinician RoleCompensation

  • $30–$40 per client contact hour

Caseload

  • Minimum 25 clients per week
  • Opportunity to increase to 30+ clients (full-time)

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couple, and family therapy
  • Complete timely documentation (progress notes & treatment plans)
  • Attend weekly individual supervision and bi-weekly peer group supervision
  • Participate in monthly virtual staff meetings

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Eligible for a Limited Permit in NYS
  • Must reside in New York State
  • MFT graduates only (no MSW or MHC candidates at this time)
  • Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills
  • Interest in couples therapy strongly encouraged

Schedule Expectations

  • Choose your own hours
  • Monday–Friday with weekend availability
  • Minimum of two evening hours and one weekend day
