Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center (RCPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a Licensed Master Social Worker to join their children and youth inpatient Social Work Team. This position is part-time, 20 hours a week. The work schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8-hour shifts, and one 4-hour evening shift, 3:30pm – 7:30pm, during the week.
As a Licensed Master Social Worker at RCPC, you will be responsible for:
- Facilitating engaging and dynamic evidenced-based groups with adolescents focused on coping strategies, substance abuse, body image and self-esteem, and healthy relationships.
- Completing assessments for adolescents and assisting with patient surveys.
- Providing crisis interventions as needed.
- Providing coverage for other social worker groups as needed.
- Assisting with discharge planning and complete discharge follow-up including outreach to outpatient and residential programs.
- Supervising family visits as needed.
- Completing all required documentation in patient’s file.

RCPC is a psychiatric hospital exclusively for children and adolescents ages 11 – 18 from the Hudson Valley Region. Located in Orangeburg, NY, RCPC provides an intensive, family-based inpatient psychiatric treatment program with the goal of returning children to their families with minimal disruption. In addition to RCPC’s inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services, including school-based intensive day treatment programs, and clinics. Minimum Qualifications:
License and current registration as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State.

This position is eligible for a Downstate Adjustment of $4,000.
Pay: $37,096.00 - $47,060.00 per year
