We are expanding our team in Island County and are looking for a Certified Peer Support Specialist who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on individuals struggling with mental illness and substance use disorders. YOUR ROLE AT CONQUER

General Duties:
Provide peer support to individuals struggling with addiction or mental health issues
Serve as a mentor and advocate for clients, providing guidance and support in their recovery journey
Collaborate with other professionals in the field, such as social workers and mental health counselors, to develop comprehensive treatment plans
Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to help clients explore their goals, values, and motivations for change
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress

Requirements:
Previous experience in addiction / mental health support, crisis intervention, or a related field is required
Knowledge of behavioral health systems and resources
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other professionals
Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals in their recovery journey
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
