- Valid and appropriate ESA certification as counselor or social worker.
- Demonstrated desire and ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, students and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Successful experience working with students through Professional Learning Communities.
- Prior experience with and/or knowledge of the role of the social worker preferred.
- Ability to conduct parent training.
- Ability to conduct individual/group casework with students.
- Experience in working with physically and sexually abused children.
- Ability to function as an effective member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team/504 committee.
- Experience in behavior contracting.
- Background in substance abuse prevention.
