Founded in 1986, Project HELP is Collier County’s certified sexual assault and victim services center. We provide free, confidential, trauma-informed support to survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, and all other crimes—as well as to families experiencing traumatic loss due to a crime. Our team responds with dignity, compassion, and professionalism to help survivors regain safety, stability, and hope.
What we do
- 24/7 crisis helpline & response for sexual assault survivors
- Forensic exams for sexual assault survivors
- Ongoing advocacy, safety planning, and case management
- Criminal & civil justice advocacy and court accompaniment
- Sudden death notification and support
- Individual and group counseling/therapy for all victims of crime
- Grief counseling for survivors of traumatic loss
- Guidance through the criminal/civil justice systems
- Assistance with victim compensation and referrals for medical care, temporary housing, clothing, and employment resources
- Information and referral to community partners
- Case management and coordination for additional services such as temporary
housing, medical care, clothing and job assistance

Job Description
The Licensed Therapist & Clinical Supervisor provides trauma-informed clinical therapy to survivors of crime while also supervising clinical interns and supporting the agency’s advocacy services.
This role integrates three core responsibilities:
· 70% Clinical Therapy Services
· 20% Clinical Supervision & Program Oversight
· 10% Victim Advocacy Services
The position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality trauma-informed care, maintaining compliance with grant and ethical requirements, and supporting the professional development of interns and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Therapy (70%)
- Provide trauma-informed individual counseling to survivors of sexual assault, violent crime, and traumatic loss.
- Conduct client intakes, assessments, and treatment planning.
- Provide evidence-based trauma treatment modalities (e.g., EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, or other trauma-informed approaches).
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case notes consistent with HIPAA, grant compliance (VOCA, STOP, OAG), and agency policies.
- Facilitate trauma recovery groups when appropriate.
- Provide crisis counseling and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress.
- Coordinate care with advocacy staff and community partners to ensure continuity of services.
- Monitor client safety and assess risk as clinically indicated.
Clinical Supervision & Program Leadership (20%)
- Provide clinical supervision to Master’s level student interns in counseling, psychology, or social work programs.
- Conduct weekly individual and/or group supervision sessions.
- Review and approve intern documentation and treatment plans.
- Support the development of trauma-informed clinical policies and procedures.
- Assist leadership in maintaining quality standards of care for clinical services.
- Participate in file reviews and audits to ensure compliance with state and grant requirements.
- Support training and professional development of staff and interns.
- Assist with the development of clinical programming and therapeutic groups.
Victim Advocacy & Direct Service (10%)
- Provide crisis intervention and advocacy services to victims of crime.
- Assist survivors with safety planning and referrals to community resources.
- Provide advocacy during forensic exams, court hearings, or other legal processes when needed.
- Assist clients with applications for Victims of Crime Compensation and relocation assistance.
- Participate in SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) or SDRT (Sudden Death Response Team) activities as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of victim rights under Marsy’s Law.
Additional Responsibilities
· Participate in rotating on-call coverage as required.
· Provide Manager-on-Duty support when assigned.
· Assist with community outreach, presentations, and awareness events.
· Maintain client statistical reports and documentation required by grant funders.
· Collaborate with community partners including law enforcement, healthcare providers, and social service agencies.
· Maintain strict client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and ethical standards.
· Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications
Education
Master’s Degree in:
- Mental Health Counseling
- Social Work
- Marriage & Family Therapy
- Psychology
- or related behavioral health field
Licensure
Must hold active Florida licensure such as:
- LMHC
- LCSW
- LMFT
Qualified Supervisor designation preferred or willingness to obtain.
