Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform ongoing treatment plans and ensure consistency in intervention delivery.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care skills, fostering independence.
- Support the development of communication skills through teaching techniques aligned with applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and legal standards.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to provide consistent support and progress updates.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions focused on behavior management, medical terminology, and best practices in behavioral health.
Skills
- Strong foundation in behavioral therapy principles and techniques for working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively teach new skills and manage behavior positively.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during sessions for progress tracking and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines related to medical records and client confidentiality.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude when working with diverse populations.
