Essential duties and Responsibilities:
• Operating forklifts and pallet jacks to move product, unload trucks, trailers, and containers of freight.
• Assist with the research and reconciling of inventory discrepancies, receipt exceptions, shipping issues, customer returns, or damaged material.
• Receive material coming into the building by contractors, customers, or other warehouses to be routed to offsite operations for further processing.
• Assist with verifying the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against packing lists and work orders
• Load common carrier vehicles with outbound materials as needed.
• Special projects as assigned by the shop supervisors
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis throughout the shift
• Ability to operate a fork truck
• Ability to work in variety of outdoor weather conditions as needed
• 2+ years of experience in inventory control within mid to high-volume, made to order fabrication shop is preferred
• Experience organizing, maintaining, and controlling inventory movements within a fabrication environment
• Computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision or within a team setting
Preferred:
• Previous experience or certification to operate forklift
• Previous experience in Epicor ERP system (or similar)
