This position is responsible for handling, moving, and storing or staging various materials in order to meet our customer deadlines within our assembly and shipping departments. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and staging materials for assembly in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. You will also work cooperatively with the other members of the shop floor and management team to support other tasks as required.

Essential duties and Responsibilities:
•    Operating forklifts and pallet jacks to move product, unload trucks, trailers, and containers of freight.
•    Assist with the research and reconciling of inventory discrepancies, receipt exceptions, shipping issues, customer returns, or damaged material.
•    Receive material coming into the building by contractors, customers, or other warehouses to be routed to offsite operations for further processing.
•    Assist with verifying the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against packing lists and work orders
•    Load common carrier vehicles with outbound materials as needed.
•    Special projects as assigned by the shop supervisors

Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
•    Must be at least 18 years of age
•    Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis throughout the shift
•    Ability to operate a fork truck
•    Ability to work in variety of outdoor weather conditions as needed
•    2+ years of experience in inventory control within mid to high-volume, made to order fabrication shop is preferred
•    Experience organizing, maintaining, and controlling inventory movements within a fabrication environment
•    Computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
•    Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
•    Capable of working independently with minimal supervision or within a team setting

Preferred:
•    Previous experience or certification to operate forklift
•    Previous experience in Epicor ERP system (or similar)
