What You’ll Do

As a Program Counselor, you’ll be at the heart of our mission supporting participants as they explore their communities, build relationships, and grow in independence.

You will:

  • Lead engaging community experiences from local events to everyday outings
  • Support personal growth through skill-building, social development, and independence training
  • Provide behavioral support with compassion and professionalism
  • Track progress and maintain records that truly reflect each participant’s journey
  • Communicate and advocate for participants’ needs, preferences, and goals
  • Assist with transportation and outings, ensuring safety and inclusion every step of the way
  • Be a role model demonstrating positivity, respect, and professionalism

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field
  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and electronic records systems
  • Willingness to complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and more)

Bonus if you have a Master’s degree or experience in human services!
