Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors and progress to ensure effective treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks.
- Support teaching strategies in special education settings, promoting skill acquisition and behavioral management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions and client progress.
- Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages learning, growth, and emotional well-being for each individual.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including ABA and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and medical terminology related to behavioral health is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully while demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions.
- Experience in special education or patient care settings is a plus but not mandatory; a passion for helping others is essential. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
