Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker/Family Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, particularly in child welfare and protective services. This role involves working closely with families and children to assess needs, provide support, and facilitate access to necessary resources. The Social Worker will play a vital role in crisis intervention and management, ensuring the well-being of clients while promoting positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of clients' needs and develop individualized service plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management to families in distress.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients effectively.
  • Collaborate with child protective services to ensure the safety of children.
  • Advocate for clients within the legal system, particularly in family law matters.
  • Facilitate access to behavioral health services and community resources.
  • Manage conflict effectively while maintaining a supportive environment for clients.
  • Document case notes and maintain accurate records in compliance with agency policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in child welfare settings.
  • Knowledge of child protective services and family law practices.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, and behavioral health support.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their circumstances.

Pay: $49,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
