Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression of our practice
- Collect and verify patient information, including personal details, insurance data, and medical history
- Schedule appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and patient preferences
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic health records and intake documentation
- Communicate clearly with medical staff regarding patient needs and appointment details
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and answer questions about procedures or policies
- Support administrative tasks such as insurance verification, referral coordination, and follow-up calls
Skills
- Prior experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient information
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and schedules
- Effective communication skills to interact empathetically with patients and team members
- Proficiency in medical administrative support software and office technology tools
- Experience working in home care offices is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
