Position Overview:
ACI is seeking a qualified Intake Counselor to provide intake services to clients in our Inpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all intakes related services to ensure compliance with insurance and OASAS guidelines
- Keep appropriate records on clients per ACI’s Inpatient guidelines, standards, and policies
- Receive all clients and assess for history of intoxication, drug use, suicidal/homicidal risk, and mental health disorder
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to properly assess/ process admissions
- Address high-risk client issues with supervisor as soon as possible
- Participate in weekly supervision meetings and present your intake findings, communicate any necessary follow-up with the newly assigned case manager
- Perform other duties as delegated by your supervisor
- Demonstrate ability to provide crisis intervention and/or crisis stabilization when necessary
- Attend weekly collaborative meetings and supervision to ensure quality of care
- Comply with local, state, and federal confidentiality laws and regulations
- Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences
- Abide by ACI’s and our governing bodies’ code of ethics and moral values
· Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Monday - Friday , 11:00 AM -7:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Following credentials, minimum a CASAC
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- A minimum of 1 year a plus with Addiction Treatment Centers: Inpatient or Outpatient, preferred
- Strong assessment skills, including mental status exam and use of screening tools
- Knowledge of DSM-V preferred
- Strong communication, patient/customer care, and leadership abilities
- Ability to organize and time-manage
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to access and utilize web-based/ platform-based resources
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
