EDU Healthcare has an opening for a School Social Worker in Detroit for the upcoming school year to support students for the current school year. This is a great opportunity for a social worker who is passionate about school-based work and ready to make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling and support services for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and strategies to promote student success
  • Participate in IEP and 504 planning and meetings as needed
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to support student growth and well-being
  • Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Active state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (per state requirements)
  • Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
  • Work in a structured, school-based setting with evenings, weekends, and holidays off
