Capable Cubs Therapy is a growing, center-based ABA company serving children with autism in a supportive, team-oriented environment. We are currently looking for a Clinical Trainee / BCBA Trainee to join our Ramsey team.
This role is ideal for someone actively pursuing their BCBA who is looking for high-quality supervision and meaningful, paid unrestricted hours while continuing to build clinical experience.
Position Overview
The Clinical Trainee will work closely with our BCBAs to support clinical programming, supervision, and day-to-day case management. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience across both direct and indirect clinical responsibilities.
Unlike many trainee roles, this position offers consistent opportunities to earn unrestricted hours as part of your salaried role.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BCBA (ABA) master’s program
- At least 1 year completed in your graduate program
- Minimum of 18 months experience as a Behavior Technician (BT/RBT)
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and data collection
- Takes initiative, works well within a team, and is comfortable stepping into a leadership role
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently
Schedule & Compensation
- Salary: $60,000/year
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm
- Location: Center-based (Ramsey, NJ)
Responsibilities
- Assist BCBAs with caseload management and clinical programming
- Support the development and modification of individualized treatment plans
- Help create skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs
- Collect, analyze, and review client data to support clinical decision-making
- Participate in supervision and staff training
- Collaborate with BCBAs, BTs, and families to ensure quality of care
- Provide direct therapy (BT coverage) as needed
- Lead and run daily group activities (e.g. circle time, music time)
This role blends both direct client work and indirect clinical responsibilities, which are key components of training toward BCBA certification.
