As an MCI Counselor in our Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) program, you will provide resources and connections to better meet their needs. The MCI Counselor will deliver short-term (72-hour) follow-up/case management to ensure successful connections.
What You’ll Do:
As a Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Counselor, you will provide high quality community-based and mobile care to all individuals by providing resources and connections to better meet their needs along with follow-up case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- De-escalate and support callers to determine current needs.
- Manage incoming crisis calls and documentation.
- Collaborate and facilitate consultation with internal and external service providers and other team members to determine individual's needs.
- Assist in training of new staff and interns.
- Navigates individuals through the process of getting connected to the services identified by the MCI crisis clinician and making the appropriate referral
- Act as the primary point of contact for all individuals served who have accessed crisis services, ensuring individuals are being followed throughout the process to resources and services within BHN and the community.

What You’ll Bring:
- BA Degree Psychology, Counseling, or related field (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health field (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based service delivery (required)
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
