Job Description
Summary of Responsibilities
The Intake Coordinator is a direct service role responsible for conducting initial and ongoing assessments of consumers. This position ensures a thorough clinical evaluation, leading to appropriate treatment recommendations. The Intake Coordinator plays a key role in making a client’s first face-to-face contact with the agency a positive and supportive experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients, including presenting problems, psychosocial status, medical and legal history, and substance use concerns.
- Assess the need for services and develop a clinical treatment plan that reflects the client’s needs.
- Utilize knowledge of the DSM to make clinically sound diagnostic impressions.
Collaboration & Referral Coordination
- Work cooperatively with therapists and other service providers to ensure client needs are met.
- Conduct assessments for clients being discharged from inpatient care.
- Make appropriate referrals for individuals requesting services who do not demonstrate a need for treatment at the agency.
Crisis Intervention & Compliance
- Provide crisis intervention and resolution services when needed.
- Assess and determine client status as seriously mentally ill or seriously emotionally disturbed, following state guidelines.
- Complete accurate, timely, and professional documentation as required.
Supervisor
This position reports to the Program Director.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a clinical field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of post-Master’s experience.
- Clinical licensure preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $59,327.00 - $84,441.00 per year
