Job Details:Counsel consumers, individually and in group sessions at least 4 times a week, to support them in their journey of overcoming addiction, adjusting to life, and making positive changes.Provide individual sessions weekly.Complete and maintain accurate records about the patients' histories and progress, services provided, and other essential information.Collaborate with our other professionals to evaluate consumer needs and plan treatments.Conduct Intake Assessments/ASAM to determine the level of care.Develop treatment plans for consumers.Responsible for determining the consumer's strengths/weaknesses and needs to assist consumers in developing a treatment plan within 7 days of admission.Monitors and documents assigned consumer's progress toward the treatment plan.Provides alcohol and drug education in counseling sessions and groups.Must keep consumer records up-to-date utilizing the EHR System.Responsible for assuring that assigned consumers are given random urinalysis according to State and Federal guidelines.Responsible for consumer confidentiality as regulated by Federal and State guidelines.Responsible for all counselor trainee work performances.Recruit 5 clients a month.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical skills.MUST HAVE CAC-AD OR ADT License (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LICENSE).Must have exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.Must have a working knowledge of computers including EHR.Knowledge of the established diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders.
