Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of youth and families? We are looking for a dedicated, licensed mental health professional to join our team at the Avalon Site in Los Angeles.
This is a dynamic role where you’ll support children and teens (ages 0–17) navigating behavioral challenges, trauma, and mental health needs within an underserved community. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are looking for a role that offers both stability and a sense of purpose, we want to meet you!
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a standard Monday–Friday schedule with flexible 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- Generous Time Off: Benefit from 13 paid days off per year—essentially giving you a long weekend or an extra day off every single month!
- Comprehensive Benefits: Full Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
- Competitive Pay: $42.00 – $46.20 per hour (based on experience).
- Path to Permanency: This is a Contract-to-Hire position, designed for those looking for a long-term professional home.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our Care Team, you will manage a diverse caseload of approximately 60+ clients. While the caseload sounds high, your schedule is built for flexibility—not every child requires weekly sessions.
- Diverse Therapy: Provide 1:1 therapy, family support, and crisis intervention.
- Clinical Variety: Address issues ranging from ADHD, anxiety, and depression to complex trauma and psychosis.
- Collaborative Care: Engage in consultation and case management to ensure holistic support for your clients.

- Tech-Forward: Utilize Avatar EHR for streamlined documentation and charting.
What You Bring to the Table
- Licensure: Must be a fully licensed LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC (BBS Registered).
- Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working within underserved communities or high-acuity mental health settings.
