A health services organization in New York City is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their staff in Queens as their new Assistant Team Leader / Mental Health Clinician. In this role, the Assistant Team Leader / Mental Health Clinician (MSW) will be responsible for combining administrative duties with direct clinical care, focusing on clients with serious mental illness & substance use disorders.About the Opportunity:Schedule: Monday to FridayHours: 9am to 5pm (two 15-minute breaks & one 30-minute break)Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days of fieldwork; 1 to 2 days Remote)Responsibilities:Providing individual and group therapy addressing mental health challengesCollaborating with the Team Leader to oversee daily operationsCoordinating comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plansDelivering immediate support to clients in crisisConducting quality assurance activitiesPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:2+ years of experience in Behavioral HealthMaster's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or PsychologyStrong knowledge of Therapeutic modalitiesSolid assessment and documentation skillsExcellent communication skillsAdvocacy and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independentlyDesired Qualifications:Bilingual (English and Spanish)Experience in an ACT and/or Mobile Crisis settingSolid understanding of EMR systems
