Part-Time Licensed Mental Health Clinician, LMSW, LMHC, LCSW20 to 25 Hours per Week | Temp (but could be extended) | In-Person Only | $42 per Hour We are seeking a licensed or provisionally licensed behavioral health professional in New York State to provide clinical oversight, direct support, and structured coordination of care within a community-based setting. This is a part-time, in-person opportunity offering strong professional impact, meaningful member engagement, and the potential for permanent placement. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in collaborative environments, values compliance and documentation integrity, and is committed to evidence-based behavioral health interventions. Position OverviewThe Licensed Mental Health Clinician will partner closely with the Clinical and Wellness Coordinator and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality behavioral health services, regulatory compliance, and effective member support. This position carries responsibility for clinical oversight, PHQ-9 screenings and reassessments, crisis intervention documentation, service plan development, and training initiatives to enhance program effectiveness. Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Clinical and Wellness Coordinator to ensure PHQ-9 screenings are completed and reassessed as neededConduct in-person follow-up for members scoring 10 or higher on PHQ-9 assessmentsDevelop and implement safety plans for members identified as high risk or reporting self-harm historyCreate individualized service plans for members engaged in clinical mental health careProvide clinical oversight and guidance to the Clinical and Wellness CoordinatorMaintain open communication with supervisors, direct care staff, family members, guardians, and collateral contacts regarding member status and progressParticipate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and other relevant care coordination meetingsSubmit monthly and quarterly progress notes in accordance with agency and funder requirementsAttend monthly, quarterly, and MHI meetings for professional development, coaching, and care reviewProvide annual and as-needed in-service training to ensure staff competency in program plan implementation and documentation standardsMaintain comprehensive and audit-ready record keeping including service plans, training documentation, notes, and contact recordsAssist in developing and refining training procedures and program materials to ensure operational alignment with established regulatory guidelinesStay current with behaviorally based interventions and therapeutic techniques to maintain best practice standardsProvide crisis intervention documentation and weekly reporting to supervisorPerform additional related duties to ensure efficient program operations Required QualificationsMust be licensed or provisionally licensed in the State of New York as one of the following:LMSW, Licensed Master Social WorkerLCSW, Licensed Clinical Social WorkerLMHC, Licensed Mental Health CounselorMaster's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related Behavioral Health field1 to 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting preferredStrong knowledge of regulatory and licensing standards, with the ability to implement them at both agency and program levelsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic documentation systemsDemonstrated ability to manage confidential information professionallyExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environmentFlexible and adaptable to evolving priorities and clinical demands Work StructurePart-Time, 20 to 25 hours per weekIn-person, no hybrid or remote optionTemporary to Permanent opportunityPay rate: $42 per hour Why This Role MattersThis position plays a direct role in enhancing member outcomes, ensuring clinical accountability, and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration.
