Position Title: Bilingual Behavioral Health Assessor
Location: Remote – Must reside in Texas
Employment Type: Contract
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Bilingual Behavioral Health Assessor to provide remote behavioral health assessment services throughout Texas. This role is responsible for conducting intake assessments, completing treatment plans, performing CANS assessments, and supporting access to medically necessary behavioral health services for children and families.
The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, experienced in behavioral health documentation, and knowledgeable in Texas Medicaid and managed care requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral health intake assessments via telehealth or approved remote platforms
- Complete psychosocial evaluations and gather clinical history
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs
- Complete and update Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessments accurately and timely
- Identify service eligibility and recommend appropriate levels of care
- Coordinate referrals for therapy, psychiatry, skills training, case management, and community resources
- Maintain timely, accurate, and audit-ready documentation
- Comply with Medicaid, MCO, and company standards
- Participate in meetings, and quality assurance reviews
- Provide culturally responsive services to diverse families and youth populations
Required Credentialing / Qualifications
Applicants must meet all applicable requirements below:
Clinical Credentials (one preferred)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Psychological Associate / Psychologist
Required Enrollment / Billing Credentials
- Active individual NPI (Type 1)
- Active Texas Medicaid Provider Enrollment ID required
- Must be eligible for credentialing with Texas Medicaid managed care organizations including Superior HealthPlan, Community Health Choice, Wellpoint, and Texas Children's Health Plan
- Active unrestricted Texas license if applicable

Schedule
Flexible remote schedule. Daytime availability preferred; some evening appointments may be available.
Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per hour
