We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral therapy services. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans. This role involves supporting clients in developing essential skills and collecting data to monitor progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and experience working with diverse populations in a clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collect accurate and detailed data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote skill acquisition and behavior management
- Support clients during teaching sessions, ensuring engagement and safety at all times
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Prepare and update medical records, care plans, and progress notes as required
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines related to patient care and behavioral health
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques
- Experience implementing teaching strategies in special education or behavioral health settings
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and care plans is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to collect data accurately and utilize it for effective intervention planning
- Compassionate attitude towards working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and clients
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
