Overview
Join our dynamic behavioral health team as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), where you will play a vital role in guiding clients through their recovery journeys. As a CADC, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering both individual and group counseling sessions across diverse settings including outpatient clinics, residential programs, and community outreach initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology and HIPAA-compliant documentation standards.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy.
- Provide addiction counseling, mental health counseling, and crisis intervention services to clients facing substance use disorders, PTSD, or co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on behavior management, social skills development, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation and data collection for research purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in home & community care environments, hospital settings, or behavioral health clinics.
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and addiction medicine.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and PTSD care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, CPT coding, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), and medical documentation standards.
- Prior experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments within a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of social work principles combined with skills in individual/group counseling modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Pay: $24.45 - $29.45 per hour
