Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role is essential in providing support, teaching skills, and promoting positive behavior changes through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. BILINGUAL RBTs a plus but not required.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to foster independence and improve quality of life.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately and consistently.
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Teach social skills, communication strategies, and coping mechanisms to clients in various settings.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and special education practices.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism is preferred.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is highly desirable.
- Background in special education or behavioral health is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan development is beneficial.
