- Serves as the INSCOM Command Psychologist, as Director of the Clinical and Organizational Behavioral Health providers, and does work as a clinical psychologist.
- Serves as consultant to the INSCOM Command Surgeon for psychological health-related matters and serves as the subject matter expert for psychological health support issues across the INSCOM enterprise.
- Provides psychological training/lectures, mentoring and support to INSCOM and 15 globally dispersed Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) on relevant clinical, personnel and management matters as they pertain to overall wellness.
- Develops, writes, and implements Behavioral Health policies that are globally dispersed. Stakeholder for programs involving prevention/treatment of psychological problems that affect training, Soldier readiness, and Soldier health promotion.
- Consults on program development and evaluation methodology for INSCOM behavioral health programming and coordination with installation and regional behavioral health and health promotion assets.
- Communicates through executive summaries, information papers, memorandums, and briefings.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must submit to a criminal history background investigation.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 20% or less of the time.
- Must meet credentialing and certification requirements for this series.
- Must meet degree and licensure requirements for privileging at the independent practitioner level, Reference AR 40-68.

BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Must have a Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts to your application.)
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS listed below:
To qualify, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Serving as a consultant and subject matter expert for psychological and behavioral health issues across a large enterprise; Providing psychological training, mentoring and support on relevant clinical, personnel and management matters as they pertain to overall wellness; Developing and implementing Behavioral Health policy; Running, evaluating and developing programs involving prevention and treatment of psychological problems that affect training, readiness, health promotion; and Serving as clinical psychologist.
Applicants will be evaluated to determine if they meet the minimum qualification requirements and desired specialized experience listed above. Additionally, your resume should show that you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) associated with the position:
1. Mastery of a wide range of concepts, principles and practices in the field of psychology which would have been gained through higher graduate study and/or experience and skill applying knowledge learned to difficult and complex work assignments.
2. Knowledge in psychological assessment, industrial/organizational psychology, behavioral health, behavioral research, organizational effectiveness, operational psychology, performance enhancement and training.
3. Knowledge of the programs, policies, management objectives, principles, and oral/written procedures for accomplishing psychological assessment work. Including expert knowledge of interviewing techniques consisting of development, structure, conduct, evaluation, and assessment of results.
4. Ability to prepare detailed written reports including briefing charts, diagrams, and other illustrations to support study conclusions. Ability to present findings and recommendations in formal and informal oral presentations.
5. Knowledge of and skill in developing training programs and providing instruction.
