Joyful Journey Behavioral Services LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data on client progress, and provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, primarily those on the autism spectrum. This position requires a commitment to improving the lives of our clients through the application of evidence-based practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must be a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the BACB.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum, is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong observational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to up to 50 pounds, sit on the floor, and engage in active play with clients.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Behavior Intervention: Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA to increase desirable behaviors and decrease challenging behaviors.
  • Data Collection: Accurately record and collect data on client behaviors and progress during each session.
  • Skill Development: Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills through structured activities and play.
  • Communication: Collaborate with the BCBA, clients' families, and other team members to ensure consistency in care and share updates on client progress.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all ethical guidelines and regulations as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain certification and improve practice.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
