School Counselor, LCSW or LPC - Part-Time

As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking a Certified School Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to provide in-person services for special education school students. This position is for the remainder of the current school year, ESY, and the upcoming school year.

Social Worker Position Details:

• Part-Time (2.5 hours per week with room for growth)
• Flexible Schedule
• Small elementary caseload
• Requires one of the following licensures and experience working within the school setting as well as understanding of IEP and 504 plans (Approved Licensures: LGSW, LCSW, LICSW, LPC)

Social Worker Qualifications:

• Licensure as a Social Worker or Counselor in Maryland (please note that we cannot accept LGSW, LMSW, or LGPC licensure)
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Social Worker Responsibilities May Include:

• Providing Behavioral Support Services
• Driving student achievement for students with disabilities
• Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data
• Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
• Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
• Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
• Handling Medicare reimbursements
