A Bachelor's Degree in related field and Current RBT certification is required for this hourly rate range, and starting rate is dependent upon experience.

Previous experience as an RBT, BCBA, other areas of mental health, other therapeutic areas, or working with children with Autism or other developmental delays is preferred.

Duties

  • Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support clients’ developmental goals
  • Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors and progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to foster independence
  • Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote desirable behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in a compassionate manner
  • Support teaching sessions that enhance communication, social skills, motor skills, and adaptive behaviors using evidence-based techniques from applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder
  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to collect detailed data accurately and maintain meticulous medical records
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality standards related to medical documentation
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent patience and communication skills when working with diverse populations
  • Prior experience in special education or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates

RBT –Specific Responsibilities/Requirements:

· Provide quality therapy according to the ABA treatment program as developed by the BCBA

· Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan

· Maintain appropriate records as dictated by the profession and the company

· Complete daily communication logs and enter session notes as trained

· Enter data as trained

· Consistently follow the principles of ABA

· Participate in supervision as required by the profession and the company

· Seek all treatment and clinical guidance from the supervising BCBA

· Adhere to all company processes, policies and procedures

· Clearly communicate in all oral and written formats as necessary with clients and co-workers

· Provide regular written and verbal progress on client sessions and treatment goals

· Attend meetings, trainings, and workshops to acquire further knowledge

· Must have ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and/or spend long periods of time on your feet, as well as the ability to assist with potty training, hygiene needs, cleaning of the work area, and to lift items up to 50 lbs. as needed.

· Must remain in good standing with the registry via the BACB website.
