About the Role
We are seeking a New York licensed Psychologist or LCSW to step into a senior leadership role overseeing operations and helping manage the day-to-day functioning of the practice.
This is not a traditional therapy position. While the role includes clinical oversight and involvement in complex cases, the primary focus is on operations, and business management.
There will be a structured onboarding and ramp-up period, with close collaboration and support from the current owner and leadership team. While the role is designed to take on responsibility over time, candidates are not expected to step in fully formed or have prior experience in every aspect of the practice.
About the Practice
Therapy Services – NYC is an established private group practice in its 16th year, providing high-quality psychological services to adult outpatients across New York. The practice operates entirely via telehealth and includes a team of 12 psychotherapists supported by administrative, billing, and collections staff.
We primarily serve patients throughout New York City, with services extending across the entire state. The practice has experienced consistent growth and is well-positioned to expand further.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations of a fully remote clinical team
- Supervise therapist performance, caseload distribution, and scheduling
- Handle complex clinical situations and review reports, letters, and documentation
- Coordinate with administrative, billing, and collections staff to ensure smooth operations
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement practical improvements
- Lead efforts to grow the practice, including expanding existing and new opportunities
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team development
- Oversee and help improve internal systems, including our custom software platform
- Work closely with ownership on operational strategy and execution
Qualifications
- Prior management experience (e.g., clinic, group practice, or department setting)
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing clinicians and addressing performance issues
- Demonstrated experience in business operations or practice growth
- Business acumen is essential—this role requires a balance of clinical understanding and operational leadership
- Active New York license as a Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) or Social Worker (LCSW) required
Position Details
- Fully remote, work-from-home
- Candidates should reside in New York State; candidates based in New Jersey or Connecticut will also be considered

The owner is now seeking to step back from day-to-day operations and transition into an advisory role. This position is intended to take on primary responsibility for running the business and leading the next phase of growth.
Pay: $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
